Wikipedia defines “The Blue Hour” as:
The blue hour (from French l’heure bleue) is the period of twilight early in the dawn each morning and late in the dusk each evening, during the nautical twilight phase, when the Sun is at a significant depth below the horizon and when the residual, indirect sunlight takes on a predominantly blue shade.
A recent early-morning photo shoot in Green Cove Springs on The St. Johns River in Florida, reminded me of how much I love to be outdoors with my cameras at that time of day. Here are a couple of my photographs from that shoot as well as several more from other locations.

There are hundreds more of my photos from around the Southeastern United States on my photo site at allenforrest.com. I’d love it if you took a look!
